Well I was going through my archives, and I found a shot I've always liked but never been satisfied with. And when I saw it I thought... ooo! It'd be perfect for a photoshop challenge, and there hasn't been one in awhile. So I came over to TPF and there was already #3 and #4!
Anyway this'll get moved to the new folder when it's ready. Blah blah blah... on with the photo!

To be honest I don't have the highest of hopes for this shot...
edit : oooo the new forum is up!!! (can someone move?) :sillysmi: | ty ty!

when you crop in PS there is a check box called perspective, when it is checked it allows you to move the four corners of the crop box at any angle. I just matched the sides of the crop box to the angles of the building. After it was croped there was still a slight bow to the roof, I used a 3% pinch (filter/distort/pinch) to get rid of it.

How can you not love that poster... combining pink floyd with naked ladies is perfection...
Anyway thanks for all the replies so far, I haven't seen anything that I would consider a "keeper" but the base photo isn't that hot to begin with (as I mentioned at the onset). As far as usable versions? I'm partial to littleman's cropped version, albiet a little looser crop so nothing is cut off.
XsCode : this (http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2756&postcount=1) or this (http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=3208&postcount=1) should answer your question...

I couldn't get a good mask on the foreground grass, so it's very over exposed....

Why is JonMikal's idea gone from his server again before I ever get a chance to see it? All I can do is read how other people rave about his version, but where it ought to be there's just the "red x of death" :irked:.

Love the picture, all I really wanted to do was to PS out the lights in the background and change the lighting in the sky a bit.

Quikmagic: I really like what you did to the building, you were able to bring it all into the light without blowing out the contrast. I'd love to know how you did that. I don't care for the sky and foilage, though, looks too edited for my tastes.
Tex: Nice job! Way to think out of the box and make something work with what you have. I sat here and stared at it for a while, just thinking.

If i remember rightly i changed the brightness a little, then the contrast slighty (after spending 20 mins with the magic wand tool cutting it out ) Then i gave it a new layer photofilter orange if i remember but changed the opacity to make it stand out more.
Hope that helps.

Thanks jadin, I tend to think in b&w and loved the contrast this image created.
