I get a lot of my ideas from browsing other photographer's sites. A while ago I was thinking of having bludomain.com design my website but for various reasons decided against it. BUT, I check there monthy for the list of new sites that they launch. It's a great way to check out other photographer's work all in one place. Just look on the righthand side under Sites Launched in October (or whatever the current month is :)

The funny thing when I started in photography over 20 years ago, the only way that you were able to see portfolios from studios was to visit the photographer in person. This took a huge amount of time and effort but was worth it. You could see the latest work and spark new ideas in your creative mind. Now, we can sit at our desks or lay on the couch with our laptop and view work from all over the world. In some instances, you need to be cautious on what is placed for the public to see. You don't want to place you latest hot style on the front page because every photographer will be able to copy and sell the idea as original. It is sort of scary. If you want to see many studios without having to scour the internet, we have a huge database of photographers on our site. The list was created to help studio representation on the web. Any studio can list their business and place their site into the database free of charge so the list has grown quite large.

WOW!!! that is the most inspirational site i have EVER visited. What an amazing person and a brilliant photographer. I have just been crying out loud over those pictures. I am not sure what similar services people here in Australia offer but that is truly inspiring. If only I was stronger, I would love to give this gift to families so deserving.
